Review on πŸ”₯ BikeMaster Heated Grips: LCD Switch for 7/8" Handlebars - Stay Warm and Comfortable While Riding by Mufti Carter

This is a great kit. One reviewer mentioned that installing .

Excellent set. One reviewer mentioned that installation was difficult - quite the opposite, they are easier to install than any other kit I have used and I have installed many of them. All connections are keyed so nothing can be plugged in the wrong way or in the wrong connector. There is no battery terminal harness in the kit, which I think is a good thing. They must be connected to a switched power supply to prevent them from being left on and draining the battery. Each motorcycle has its own switchable power solution, allowing the user to make that connection. My bike had a special heated crank chain, so I hooked it up to a factory fork for a very clean install. The only modification required was cutting off the flange at the end of the bike's throttle tube, which is easily accomplished with a sharp knife. The throttle side was a nice tight fit but failed to install. Superglue is included for the side of the clutch, but I opted for silicone glue to make future removal easier. They heat up quickly and generate a lot of heat even without hand guards. The voltmeter is a handy addition and looks like an OEM part on my bike. The grip diameter is slightly larger than most bikes to accommodate the heating elements. They are very comfortable for my large hands (glove size L or XL). The only thing I would change is to put a weatherproof connector between the controller and the wiring harness, but a little dielectric grease on the pins before connecting is about 99% better, and I've relocated the connector to a weatherproof location. . Gripwire length was just right with some room for attachment, but could be too short depending on setup or very wide handlebars. Great set at a fair price, I will buy again!
