I bought these to transport my 2004 Yamaha R6 in the back of a van. I used to use ratchet straps alone, wrapping a loop around each side of the handlebars and then attaching them to hooks in the truck. It was effective but very painful and also resulted in the strap rubbing against the edge of my fairing and risking damaging it. When I heard about Canyon Dancers I decided to give them a try. I used them once to take my bike to a mechanic and they almost dropped my bike in the back of a truck. I have used them exactly as they should be used. I followed the instructions and even watched a few YouTube videos. Everything was done right but they still didn't feel safe and the bike could move a lot more than I would have liked. I chose to ride the bike in the back and I'm glad I did. , because the motorcycle almost fell over when turning right from the traffic light! This has never been a problem with ratchet straps which I have used alone so far, not in combination with Canyon Dancers. I would not recommend them. Instead, buy padded loop straps and use them in combination with ratchet straps.
