I ordered XXL and it was more of a size L to XL. For me it wasn't a big problem since I use it as a tank top. I couldn't be happier with the performance and comfort. Here in South Florida, summer, hot and muggy, isn't even a description of the conditions. It wicks away moisture and creates a feeling of coolness. He also breathes very well. I've been wearing cotton t-shirts for 25 years and am quickly switching to merino wool. I highly recommend washing your shirt before you wear it as it smells like "freshly cut".
