This is more than I expected. I know they list the size as 2 ounces but I really thought I would get something more portable and compact. Convenient, but I need to get several 1 ounce cans. I've been using them for a week now and no complaints. I stash shea butter in my purse so I can't confirm if it's waterproof or not. Definitely works with thick lotion. 4 stars because fast delivery, nice color, very functional. I just wish they were smaller and a little cheaper. Also, the inner lid (a white plastic circle with a tongue) constantly sticks to the jar. I guess because of the shea butter I keep in there. It is very convenient to always have it in your handbag, as it is useful for everything - skin, hair and nails. Ideal for lotions, ointments, balms with essential oils, etc. I'm sure that's their purpose. You can also store small items there like buttons, seeds or travel beads. Also good for spices and nutritional yeast when they need to be portable. I'm just trying to be creative in using it. If they are on sale I will definitely order again
