Review on πŸš€ K&N Cold Air Intake Kit for 1998-2001 FORD/MAZDA (Ranger, B2500): High Performance, 50-State Legal, Improved Horsepower (Model: 57-2540) by Shree Carmean

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice performance upgrade for my 1998 Mazda B2500

First of all why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5. There should have been a hole in the pipe coming from the throttle body to the filter for the temp sensor, but it wasn't there and I had to drill it myself. Other than that, I'm perfectly happy with the extra power my engine now has. It's definitely noticeable, but not so much that I have a race truck now. But I feel extra power from 1st through 4th gears, not so much in 5th (overdrive). That's what I needed to pull a trailer with a zero turn mower. It was expensive but I think it was worth it. So if you have one of those types of trucks that doesn't offer a lot of power, I would recommend buying one of these. Just wanted to add that, I changed the oil in the rear diff and I can see the power increase as well. Not quite in terms of performance, but the truck seems to drive better and shift more smoothly. I hope this helps you.

Pros
  • EASY MAINTENANCE: no need to clean the filter after 100,000 miles
Cons
  • I don't remember
