Review on Filtrete Standard Filtration Sediment 3US AS01 by Dave Willis

We recently moved into a new home with community plumbing. After 34 years of great tasting well water, the taste and smell of chlorine was really noticeable. We originally planned to install a faucet mounted filter (e.g. PUR) but this was not possible with a pop up jet faucet. Some of the competing filters either reduced the flow rate or required drilling the countertop to install a second faucet. The reviews about it were positive, so we gave it a try. It was easy to install and offers very effective filtration, making cold tap water taste great. The second benefit is that the hot water remains chlorinated, providing at least a low level of dishwashing disinfectant. Finally, when it's time to change the cartridge (recommended every 6 months) it's a very simple screw-in and screw-in process (you don't even have to turn off the cold water supply). We've only been using it for a month so I can't say how long the cartridge will stay effective but so far we're very satisfied,
