Not the cheapest option and if you have an MC cartridge you will pay even more but this little box turned out to be just what I wanted. It's compact yet heavy enough to stand securely on a table next to my turntable, and the weight of the cables hanging from it doesn't affect it, so it stays in place. plug and play I'm not an audiophile (at least not anymore, most of those people are nuts anyway), but that sounds good to me. I'm not a fan of vinyl either, I just bought it to copy all my dad's old blues records for the estate before selling them. Oh there is no background noise either, that was my issue and other reviews had no issues with this box in that area which was the main reason I actually chose it.
