I ordered these frames because the fender is solid wood, they seemed like a good choice considering the price. Well, they're made of wood, so the manufacturer doesn't lie. How durable they are is another matter. The wood from which these frames are made is half a step superior to balsa. When I unpacked them, I felt like I had to handle them with kid gloves or they would fall apart in my hands. The manufacturer literally ships each frame (I bought a set of three) with a small piece of plastic to fix the chipped corners. You can scratch the paint and hit the bare wood with your fingernail. One of my three frames was actually scratched right from the manufacturer. I decided to fix it myself instead of worrying about sending it back and then waiting for a replacement. Opening frames to insert my work was pretty easy. Everything went as it should. I managed to hang all three on the wall without damaging them and they look good but I doubt I'll order them again. I think I'll choose something heavier built.
