I bought this monitor for my Lenovo X1 Carbon. I didn't want my computer plugged into a charger, so I bought a USB-C hub (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X5KSBNJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) and used it to connect. I power the hub with a cell phone charger and that's enough to power my laptop. The hub doesn't appear to be compatible with Lenovo due to power issues, but I bypassed it with a charger as it has a Thunderbolt port. I read one of the Q&A's that says the speakers won't work unless you connect them directly via HDMI and this doesn't apply in my case. As far as reliability goes, time will tell, but other than the fact that the base needed a bit of lube to attach, I haven't had any issues. The screw at the base of the stand was easily tightened with ether.
