Review on MINKA-AIRE F853-BN/DK Protruding Mount Ceiling Fan - 3 Distressed Koa Blades in Brushed Nickel/Distressed Koa by Rebecca Waffles

Where to start? The fan is pretty good, but the installation instructions are still in their infancy. The fan blades look nice but are hollow inside. The listing states that the fan comes with 3.5" and 6" ground bars. Not correct. The required 3.5 inch rod was missing. Sign in to Revain Customer Service. The first person contacted was clearly overseas which wasn't a problem except it took us literally 15 minutes to verify our name on our account. "Yes, besides Deborah, which name is still on the account?" It went on like this for an insanely long time. I asked the boss three times, they didn't transfer me. Finally, after 25 minutes and explaining that I needed the missing part multiple times, we got him to order a 3.5" rod and transfer the payment to our account. I've told them at least THREE times that we need brushed nickel. My husband gave up early and took the 6 inch rod to our garage, cut it with a jigsaw and drilled it to make it work, and hung the lamp on the day the fan arrived for the company's arrival was ready next day. I asked Revain support to supply the correct 3.5" lower stem that they promised. He arrived today. We didn't charge, but the lower barrel is painted white, not brushed nickel, and would be unusable anyway. Hooray for my husband and American ingenuity for saving the day. 5 stars for the fan; 1 star for customer support. Overall 3 stars.
