Received two of these as gifts. The splint feels flimsy and flimsy, but even on similarly uneven surfaces (crumpled carpet) it works great. If the track was made of harder plastic, it would have broken because a 9-year-old stepped on it. I would suggest keeping it on carpet rather than hardwood or tile. Why? The cars are so fast and the track twists and turns and slides over slippery surfaces that the cars fly away very easily. This works better than I thought. Car lights leave glowing lines on the track when crossing it. The machines charge easily and last quite a long time. The track is easy to assemble but may warp if you let children assemble it. All in all I think it was a great gift and I might even consider getting an alternate version of the track to make it bigger.
