This is our third basket. The basket is strong enough. The design of the dishwasher seems to be an issue. We eventually found that the lower heating coil is directly under the parts of the basket that always become brittle and break. We have enough baskets for 2-3 years. KitchenAid should work better. I can't give the car a bad rating for that. It's just a fake but works great.
