Review on SRAM PG1130 Speed Cassette 11 28T by Bill Pulse

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love the 36T at the sport

Bigger cassettes are becoming more common, but when I bought these there wasn't a lot of ways to top the 32T. I use mine with a SRAM Rival groupset so shifting is perfect (SRAM does good things except for their derailleurs). I use RoadLink which was easy to install and didn't give me any problems. The 36T has made a huge difference for me. I rarely use it, but when I need it, it helps. There is a 1.4 mile segment at 7% that ends at 0.4 miles at 15.7%. I can ride it at 32T, but with 36T I'm actually faster because I can keep my cadence high and I don't get as tired towards the end. It also has longer climbs with gentler gradients and sometimes it gets windy or I'm going for a long ride, which is good for taking a little rest on my feet.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
