Review on Discover the Art of Pursenalities: 20 Exquisite Knitted and Felted Bags by Wendy Rodriguez

This is a very good book. I have made four purses and they are beautiful. I'll do two or three more. Although I can knit, I am new to felting. The "Knitting Basics" section is very good and clear. The list of abbreviations is also very helpful. However, some template instructions could be a bit clearer. For example: The valve instructions for the Spring Fling Bag on page 19 begin with "RS shows . . .". I know RS stands for right side, but when should you unstitch: right side of bag showing you or wrong side? This concerns the "burr" on the top of the flap. I still don't know the answer to this question and have made two of these bags. Would also appreciate a list of some yarn substitutes - particularly fancy/decorative yarns.
