don't know what they put in there but my cats fall on each other over these things. You know the sound of a screw cap and you're in the room before I can even open one. They have the consistency of baby food and we call them "Chloe Straps" here because they remind me of those baby yogurt snacks and because I originally bought them for my 22-year-old lady Chloe. She was bored with canned food, and crunchy food made her slightly constipated, and she sometimes vomited on crunchy food because she didn't chew it enough. I saw these and thought what the perfect amount would be for them. Man she wakes up for these things. They were also able to extend her life because she became very thin and emaciated and as soon as I started buying her for her she gained weight, her coat looked healthier and she had noticeably more energy. Unfortunately I'm keeping it a secret. of our other two cats was impossible and soon they were secretly feeding Chloe and I. I would give it to them all the time, but it's $40 a can and they'd drink it like nobody cares, plus they don't need to gain weight. I don't mind them eating what's left after Chloe killed herself, but that crap nearly killed her because they became canned cat food. All they need are those damn INABA pipes. The portion size is perfect for my little old lady but our one cat could easily put away 5 or 6 of these looking for more and they should only be snacks not meals or meal replacements. Be really careful how much you let them eat per day, I find they are higher in calories and if you see your cat gaining weight and she doesn't need it then cut back a bit. Chloe gets 2-4 a day but only 1 or 2 for other guys because my youngest is starting to look a little fat.
