Test it thoroughly first.

Poorly made products like this are causing small business owners like me to lose customers. Luckily I was able to buy locally after this converter burned the stereo, amp and speakers in the shopping cart. Life lesson for potential buyers: give the converter a few hours under load before connecting 12V accessories to it. The one I bought was tested for 12.2V installed and blew out after a day. Red hot and throwing a solid 72 volts across the 12 volt system. I ate almost $200 for a job that should have been an easy setup and a win anyway.
