I bought this collar in desperation to replace a stainless steel collar that my dog was allergic to. I bought her a stainless steel collar first because it was very hot and I didn't want her to develop any hot spots around the collar. Our recently deceased dog had this problem so I decided to get ahead of the game. But my dog is sensitive. Luckily I found this collar. It is a mesh that is breathable and has a nylon material over it. I really like the collar design. It's also reflective, which is nice. I'm so thankful I found a heavy duty mesh collar for my sensitive pup. She's recovering fast! To clarify, I wanted to mention all of the above in my review because when I searched for the collar and read the reviews, I couldn't find a single review that mentioned anything similar to what I was looking for. Hope this can help someone else in the future. The price was also very attractive.
