The overall size of the hydration pack may be slightly longer than the photo but that's only because the photo doesn't show it actually attached to anything. If you have basic molle body armor, there's a good chance it's too high. If you attach it to something like a military IBA or similar system, you might not notice it at all. This does not mean that it cannot be attached to body armor. I'm just suggesting placing it a molle row higher than usual, or accepting it hanging a few inches below the bottom of your stretcher. pack to pull tight and keep it squeezed when not filled with something and press it tight against the back when filled with something. I highly recommend this for any hydration reservoir that attaches to the back of your plate holder. Also, the molle straps don't fit properly. The strap sections are too wide and when aligned they are odd instead of straight like most body armor. So you definitely need to get some malice straps to go with this one.
