The convex shape takes some getting used to, but once you understand where the car actually is and what it looks like in the mirror, it acts as a high level of safety when changing lanes. Actually from the driver's side. On the passenger side, I'd say the mirror increases my blind spot vision by about 30% more. But it was still quite difficult for me to spot cars in my blind spot as the cars appeared as little dates in the convex mirror. I would definitely recommend this product for a driver at $2 a unit, but I'm on the verge of whether $2 is worth the mediocre passenger side vision.
