Perfect Pokémon protection

To get straight to the point: you NEED this color scheme. Trust me, you (or your kids) will look like real tough guys in your Pokémon case with matching zippers. I've had this case for a month now and it works great. It's surprisingly light and I've carried it in my hands on commutes (NYC bus and subway) and in pockets on trips. It's thicker than I thought it would be, but not too much. I've smashed this thing against metal and walls without batting an eyelid and feel durable enough to withstand a drop onto concrete (untested). The material is waterproof but I haven't tried how dirty it gets. Note. A downside to this color scheme is the white side. I haven't noticed any obvious blemishes or discoloration so far, but we'll see what happens. There are two zippers and they seem to be quite strong and close very easily without much resistance. At the same time, they are insensitive to opening the zipper with the slightest movement. I find them very easy to use when commuting on the subway where I need to assemble my Switch in just a few seconds. So far the carrying handle has stood the test (no pun intended). There is a small loop at one end that allows you to attach the bag to your bag. The grooved strip of rubber covering the center of the strap is the perfect thickness and feels comfortable in the hand. I would like it to be a little longer, maybe half an inch on each side. I'm a grown male with medium hands otherwise I have no complaints about the grip. If you have big hands, you may encounter small problems. The grip itself is certainly large enough, but the shorter grip I mentioned means some of your fingers will be stuck on different materials, which can feel awkward. YMMV.Internal commutator compartment ensures a perfect fit with no imperfections. It's also not inserted so deeply that you have to cling to the damn thing to pull the switch out. There are two thin straps you can use to keep it in place, although I find them redundant. Finally, there is a protective flap (felt?) that rests on the screen when the case is closed, so you can be sure that the glass remains original. Note that this isn't entirely flat on the screen when using the thumb grips to cover the analog sticks like I did. I don't see that as a big problem. On the other hand, there are plenty of cartridge slots, a storage compartment on the (felt?) lining of the bag, and a zipped compartment on the front separated by mesh. I don't have many accessories - just a microfiber cloth (bring one if you don't have one) and a bluetooth adapter. However, you have plenty of easily accessible space to put some headphones, memory cards, USB sticks, mini amiibo NFC cards, etc. Unfortunately, the standard Switch charger doesn't fit in this bag, so you'll have to pack it separately. This is a great case that combines volume and reliability. It gets the job done and does all the right little things like the carry handle and zippers. Easy to buy.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
