No problem that it is a fake. That's the real deal. I have used it with my 50lb 1 year old Greyhound who has trouble pouncing on other dogs. With the collar and the right training, he feels a lot better. While I haven't had any issues with the pins bending or the collar coming loose, I can see how this can happen if the collar is not attached properly or pulls too hard. Common sense, however.
