Review on Block Surf Surfboard Roof Universal by Marcus Akram

loud and not for big boards or freeway speeds.

So I bought this roof rack mainly to carry a Bic293d windsurfer with me. It's a long 10ft board, but fairly light for its size, so I decided to tie it to the roof of a car (bare roof) and go. The straps placed as advertised was fine although it's a little harder to tie and tighten the straps in the car as they are a bit loose no matter how hard I pulled but I did, put a board on top of how specified, twist top strap once and tighten over board. So everything seemed safe. Then I started moving and immediately as I hit 40 mph I heard belts rattling in the wind and the faster I went the more it rattled, a loud cacophony of unsettling noises, I stopped after a mile or two and of course the board loosened up a bit. Luckily, instead of taking a risk, I managed to shove my board in the car and ended my day with a surf block. Read other reviews and real reviews from real users who have tried the straps. The bottom line is that these small surfboard straps CAN WORK, CAN WORK on a tracked kart where you can apply and hold maximum tension, and as long as you're not going at freeway speeds for an extended period of time. But save yourself the headache and get the right roof rack.
