Few decent profiles, will not work with all 25 series devices

In general, the profiles are not bad. They are clearly intended to be replicas of real 80/20 profiles, but some dimensions have been copied inaccurately. They should work well with all 20 series hardware but will not work with all 25 series fasteners as listed. One of my photos shows this profile next to a real 1010 series 80/20 profile for size reference. Note that the external dimensions of this profile are 20mm x 40mm which puts it in the 20 series. I'm not sure why they tried to claim compatibility with 25 series fasteners. Bore width is approximately the same as Series 25 (6.5mm) and larger than Series 20 (5.26mm). However, the width of the internal channel is even narrower than the 20 series (11.99mm) and not as wide as the 25 series (14.69mm). This profile has a measured internal width of 10.95mm. This means that most 25 series fasteners and nuts will not fit this profile (yes, I've tested a few). As an example, I've attached a screenshot showing the dimensions of the 80/20 series nut, 25. You can see that it's too wide to fit these profiles. It appears that the designers of this profile attempted to fit the 25 Series fasteners by opening the channel width wider than the 20 Series specs, but were unable to open the internal channel. wide enough for many 25 series fasteners. However, they reduced bond strength with this 20 series fastener, as expected for this size of extrusion. I don't know why they couldn't just use 20 series sizes and just get it to work with 20 series hardware. The surface of these profiles is smooth like the metric series 80/20 profiles. I'm not sure if these profiles have the 2 degree lock that uses 80/20 so you don't have to use a lock washer. The end face of these profiles is nice and square but there were some surface scratches on the two pieces I received. From my point of view this has no functional implications, but I haven't had 80/20 parts with multiple areas of relatively deep scratches. Reduced load capacity due to larger channel compared to 20 series specifications. However, they aren't much cheaper than true 80/20 items, even when shipped from 80/20 factories. I personally would pay a little more to get real standard profiles.

Pros
  • ๐Ÿ‘ANODIZING PROCESS: Using the latest anodizing technology, smoother and stronger construction, longer lifespan.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
