My Samsung TV HDMI ports would never receive a signal no matter what I tried to connect. My kids really wanted to play their Nintendo Switch on it but I assumed it just couldn't happen. One day I decided to look into other options - or converters - and after quite a bit of research i decided to take a chance with this one. It's hard to find definitive answers on whether a particular converter will work for your specific situation. To have the best luck with the Switch, I wanted the component to be the ypbpr (blue, green, red, white, red) instead of just the RCA (red, white, yellow) since my TV had that option and I wanted the converter to have its own power supply. I didn't want the cheapest - or the most expensive. This one was exactly what i was looking for at around $21 and even included all the wiring to set the whole thing up. I used the HDMI cord that came with my Switch instead of the one that came with this, but for those that need that cord it's nice they included it. I'm thrilled this is the one I decided to go with! The picture and sound are both very nice. I'll update if something changes but so far so good!
