Review on 120 SJ STAR-JOY Colored Pencils for Coloring Books - Premier Set with Vibrant Colors, Ideal Holiday Gifts for Colorist Drawing - Soft Core Colored Pencils by Dawn Fischer

These pencils seem to have caused a lot of confusion but to no avail. Nowhere have they been described as different from what they are: Star Joy pencils. I ordered these because they were a large set of oil pastels with color names printed on them and a variety of colors. I was very happy with them. They apply well, have bright, beautiful colors and blend well together and with an immersion blender (I used a full Caran D'Ache blender). They arrived in perfect condition, I haven't had any failures while sharpening or using them, they stay sharp for a long time. So please ignore the naysayers who criticize this set in their reviews as a misrepresentation of a brand that was never called what it was. The pencils are relatively thin compared to, for example, a Polychromos pencil, but that doesn't matter. You are a great product for the price. Just look at the picture I'm coloring with them. Note that even the background was painted by them and the finish was smooth and even. I hope they come back for sale and I recommend them as a good budget pencil set.
