MORE UPDATE 8/4/18: I returned the remote for a refund and as it is a third party I only received 80% of my payment. The seller withholds 20% for the "restocking fee" of this lemon. BEWARE! UPDATE 7/30/18: I've had the new remote for a few days now. At first everything worked after I put the batteries in correctly. A few days passed and the remote control failed. I changed the batteries and it worked for a few days and then failed again. I replaced both batteries today and it still doesn't work. These are brand new batteries straight out of the box. The batteries are OK and inserted correctly. So the first impression was correct. i have a melody I will ask for a refund or a replacement. Works perfectly. Check out the FAQ where people said to replace the batteries if the remote doesn't work. There are no + and - indicators to indicate how to insert the batteries. At first I thought my phone was broken, but when I changed the batteries everything worked like clockwork.
