A good pole for the money. Just be careful not to put a big sideways strain on pole if fully extended. I think they could bend at the top joint if over stressed. I bought two and used them on a windy beach with a tarp attached to my truck. Made an easy to build shade with bungees to truck, 2 poles and rope with stakes into the sand. At first with poles filly extended and the ropes tight, I saw they were starting to bow. I slid them back a couple inches and it worked great.
