Instructions and assembly were very simple. I'm not sure when to take the workout bar out of workout mode. I always leave it on. Since I moved in, my cat has been curious and likes to jump on my countertops. I don't have pictures of him in action though, my mom used to nap on the couch while I was gone and my cat only jumps on the counter when I'm gone (I'm the cat's owner). Setup was easy and I did a test tutorial too. I accidentally put my hand on the mat, it beeped at first, and the impact gave me an exciting PUSH! (NOT RECOMMENDED). IT WORKS OUT! Now to my cat. He had never experienced anything like this before, so it was a complete SHOCK when he jumped onto the shelves. lol. I no longer hear beeps, so I'm guessing my cat isn't jumping on the counters anymore. I think the investment is worth it.
