This is an interesting bundle of toys for an advent calendar. It includes- Four plastic 3D puzzles- Twelve nail puzzles- Eight off-brand Lego kitsThat is a good mix. I think the variety builds a nice sense of anticipation each day.The nail puzzles are a little bit nicer than I expected. The metal is thicker than I've seen on other puzzles like this. The 3D plastic puzzles feel sort of cheap, but that doesn't stop them from being fun. The off-brand Legos don't feel like real Legos because they're made from a different kind of plastic. They work pretty well, though.The (not) Legos come with instructions. The wire puzzles have a solution sheet tucked into the box. You can easily get it out without ripping anything -- if you know it's there. I do not see a solution sheet for the 3D puzzles, so pay close attention to how you take them apart.Overall, I think this is a pretty fun advent calendar for the price. Just set your kids' expectations beforehand.
