This monitor has very good clarity and this is my first experience of anything over 1080p. However, I was not disappointed. I'll echo another reviewer's thoughts.1. For full resolution and updates you must use Display Port or HDMI2. HDMI 1 only delivers 30Hz. Many laptops/C-docks etc. only run at 30Hz at full resolution.2. If you're not getting the resolution you thought you bought, look at the hardware you're powering the monitor with. Most likely your real limitation lies there.3. The default settings are a little light for my personal taste. YMMV.4. The VESA mounting holes are located very high on the back of this monitor. They are not vertically centered like most monitors. If you install another model in a multi-bus system, your monitor will not align properly due to the position of the mounting plate. (This is the ONLY reason I didn't give this monitor a solid 5 stars. This isn't a complaint, just an observation. Bottom line: This is a great opportunity for me to get started with 4K. Just make sure yours Hardware it's disclaimer I'm not rating this monitor for gaming performance as I bought it solely for home office work and video editing.
