Review on πŸ“· Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens: Ultimate Canon SLR Camera Accessory by Som Sak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

A wonderful lens that is bright enough for such a focal length, and not heavy enough for strong male hands, because you need to understand that this is already long-range artillery, and all longer lenses are not designed for handheld shooting at all. So 100-400L is the case when we get everything at once: build quality, pro-level image (the lens uses a cool fluorite lens), "powerful zoom" and the ability to shoot without a tripod. Then there is the question of money, everyone will answer it for himself.

Pros
  • Sharp at either end Reliable, if you do not hammer nails with them Indispensable for photography and those cases when you can’t get closer fast focus He hasn't sucked dust in six years (although some complain)
Cons
  • This lens has an Achilles' heel - this is a fixation ring, which, after six years of careful operation, has ceased to clamp the trunk normally. This will not affect the quality of the photo in any way, but the fact remains that all owners face this sore, sooner or later. A new clamp will cost you 300 USD, but I don’t see much need for it, I only used this clamp when I put the used camera in my bag.
