They appear to be very well made... The material is strong, almost burlap/tarpaulin which will last a long time. The charcoal pieces are slightly larger than similar bags I've used, and this may make them more absorbent. You will receive a set of 8 bags - 2 large, 4 medium and 2 small. My main reason for trying these bags is cars. I ordered two different products and tried one product in my car and tried this product in my husband's car. There was a constant odor in my husband's car that we couldn't find out the cause of...it smells like "old"...old clothes, old furniture, a junk shop...not quite sure what caused it. I put 2 large bags under the front seats and voila... it took about 2 days and the smell was gone. I plan to remove one and see if just using it helps. The smallest pockets are perfect for shoes. They have a little rope you can use to pass them around, but you don't need it for the shoes. The medium and large bags have a metal grommet to hang them on a hanger (I wish they had a rope too, especially the medium bags). Medium sized bags are ideal for hanging on the back of a bathroom door, putting in the fridge or in the pantry/closet where you might have a rubbish bin and/or rubbish bin, or slipping into shoes. According to the instructions, you should replace them about once a month and expose them to direct sunlight for about an hour. Overall I'm happy with both the construction and quality of the bags themselves as well as their functionality and if they continue to do their job with monthly updates I'll be very happy.
