First I ordered manifold gaskets for my GMC Sierra Z74 4X4 5.3L 2004 What a mistake! After all that work replacing blown original gaskets, I started the engine only to find the same factory manifolds leaking loudly! Immediately make sure that all screws are tightened, and still flowed. I sat down at my computer and started doing some research and every website I visited said that when replacing manifold/manifold gaskets on a GM engine, it is imperative to use genuine Delco A/C gaskets. I continued my research and came across Mahle seals. I have previously used Mahle seals on another truck I owned a few years ago and have always been pleased with the quality of their products and their price has always saved me some money. So I ordered Mahle pads from Revain Prime, the price was about $10 less than Delco A/C pads. I received the Mahle pads in less than 48 hours after ordering. I replaced the gaskets and when I started the engine! I was very glad that I no longer heard this unpleasant rattling. I highly recommend Mahle seals if you want to get the repair right the first time.
