I am a heavy smoker. For me, the most important thing about this ashtray is spaciousness. I went from overflowing standard ashtrays every 1-2 days to removing them from this unit for about a week before emptying them. It also seems to help keep the smell of the pile of cigarette butts at bay. The center of gravity bothered me when I rode it at the highest level. It's pretty stable! It's light and doesn't wobble. If I could add an improvement I would like a quick release to empty the entire canister. First, I unscrewed the canister, removed the lid, and then threw it in the trash. Now I've just started removing the cover, lifting up the entire assembly and tossing it in the trash. I'll buy another one over time, I'm sure.
