The image on my old monitor was slowly dying, one flicker at a time. Every morning when I turned on the desktop, I didn't know if the monitor would come to life. And I had no idea when it would die and stop working. Then the new monitor came about a week earlier than expected. I unplugged the old one and plugged in the new one and was back to work in a few minutes. What a relief. I work from home and my desktop and its monitor is how I do my work. Maybe I should buy another one, keep it in a closet and keep it in reserve as a backup.
