Comfortable and soft

My son is 8 and I bought a size 10. He loves how soft it is. The fur is not thick. I've washed it 3 times since I bought it for this, using regular detergent and fabric softener. I let it air dry so it stays soft. After washing, it's not as soft as it came out of the box (which is probably to be expected, washed in cold water, not warm),
