Review on 🐠 Ultimate Penn-Plax Clear-Free Under Gravel Aquarium Filter for 20-29 Gallon Tanks – Fresh and Saltwater Safe! by Jessica Gibson

This gravel pack changed the world!

I have three large fancy goldfish in a 29 gallon aquarium and it has been very difficult to keep the water clean. I have used traditional mounted back filters but when I pumped the gravel, changed the water and filtered the water became covered in bacteria which left the water white for days and I just couldn't get the water to circulate properly. with good conditions for fish. I watched a YouTube video that said I should try a gravel pack. I am new to the fishing hobby and need help. With a soil filter, the entire substrate in the aquarium filters the water! In addition, the entire substrate has small pockets for the good bacteria needed by the fish to grow and properly balance the water for the fish. So I bought this product and drained the tank to put it on the bottom under the gravel and sand and I started the water cycle and introduced the goldfish and the tank water became very, very clean. I can't believe there is a difference! The gravel filter uses two air stones in vertical tubes to create water flow and the air bubbles rising through the tubes are very nice and add oxygen to the water. I still have the same rear filters, but adding a gravel pack completely changed the world. I bought a 55 gallon angelfish mating tank and also bought an in-ground filter for that tank, it's larger with 4 vertical pipes and didn't have the water quality issues that I had when I started the 29 gallon tank. I was won over by this amazing product. I wouldn't recommend using a gravel filter alone, but adding it to my aquariums has really made it easier to control water quality.
