I was looking for a device with Bluetooth support, long battery life and clear hands-free calling to work with my LYNC, SKYPE and smartphones. This little gem rocks! The built in USB cable is for charging and wraps neatly around the cavity in the base so it is hidden during use/charging. The charge lasts forever. There is a battery charge indicator on the control panel. You can answer, hang up, check battery status, volume up/down, mute and finally there is a Bluetooth indicator on the top of this amazing speaker. My Windows 8.1 computer recognized the Bluetooth device. Then, after the initial setup, I just turn it on and BINGO becomes my default speaker/mic. I make a lot of mini videos and a good microphone is essential. This built-in microphone is clear and amplified. My short videos always come out with clear sound. Finally an app that I use on the go. I often have conference calls with clients who don't have those fancy conference room speakers. No problem. I take out the JABRA 510 and the whole room can hear and if someone at the end of the table is talking he/she can be heard. It works well and the customer appreciates my willingness.
