I was a bit nervous about taking apart the entire dash and CUE unit to swap out the screen, but when the gel got stuck in the original screen it was necessary. I'm so glad I bought this replacement screen! It's responsive, looks good and works like a charm. I would recommend this replacement to anyone without hesitation! Shipping was fast and I received it in less than 2 days. I watched their replacement videos a few times and then had a video tablet handy while I uninstalled and reinstalled so I could pause and rewind as needed during the process. It's not really difficult, just time consuming and a little annoying. Here are my tips: 1. Find your specific car make/model dash removal video to access the CUE unit. My car was a bit different than in other years, so I was glad I found the right car for my make/model. One of the screws holding the top of the dash (after the clips snapped off) was very difficult to undo as there was no space between it and the windshield and I don't know if I could get the screw back. When I took it out completely, I loosened it enough to get the access I needed and didn't remove it completely. 2. Call someone for moral support when you loosen the dash clips. It's a bit annoying and you really feel like you're about to break something! 3. Be careful not to drop the bolt when removing or reinstalling the CUE. I fumbled for one and had to pull out the CUE to get it.4. Use the included plastic tools or buy a plastic tool set to avoid scratches. If you disassemble the CUE to access the screen, you may need to open/close the hidden compartment cover to facilitate access to the necessary screws/components.6. When disassembling the CUE, have several markers of different colors ready. Mark the screw head and its position on the device with a marker of the same color to facilitate reassembly.
