This is a pretty decent mini PC with powerful hardware that will do most tasks around the home or office, but I'll rate it for non-critical use, or do you have a backup or image that you can restore yourself. Here's what I've found in this MiniPC so far: + decent processor with enough memory - i5-8279, 16GB memory, note in my pics that the memory has been installed in a module and there is another empty slot for the user to order add another additional memory if needed. Equipped with 16 GB, this is enough for most office applications or home use, even 12 additional virtual machines can be created without any problems. The speed is impressive. The maximum sequential read/write speed can reach 1.5GB/s, which is pretty fast for a mini PC. Not enough? You still have an empty SSD slot, so you can add an additional SATA SSD. + Preinstalled OS is Windows 10 Pro, Pro means more office ready and some additional great features like ability to join an AD domain, Bitlocker support, RDP inbound support etc. and minimal malware - many mini PCs, desktops or laptops that come pre-installed with loads of useless malware that takes up your valuable space and time to remove. There is one exception, a very clean install of Windows 10 Pro and no malware that I know of is installed. What do I not like or find in this mini pc that needs improvement? (Cons) - ALL USB and HDMI ports are swapped: With USB ports, it's more noticeable if you have something like a USB stick with a status LED, used to blink and could see it, now the LED shows down, you barely or can't read it. If it's a USB Wi-Fi dongle with a WPS button, it's now facing down. design flaw. There are NO HDMI #1 or HDMI #2 designations for the HDMI ports - when I plugged in a monitor for setup, NOTHING appeared for half an hour until I realized that the setup window was only on HDMI #1 (the main monitor ) was displayed ) and mine The monitor was connected to HDMI #2. There should be a clear simple marking of what the main number 1 is. - The power input/adapter is a proprietary barrel-type DC jack - I'm surprised USB-C is still not being used as well as USB-C in 2021 with Lightning. port support. If the power supply is lost or broken, good luck finding a replacement for that proprietary power supply. 4K@60Hz is not supported: My monitor is a popular 4K monitor from a major brand that supports 4K@60Hz. This mini PC does not support this and can only fall back to HDMI 1920x1080x60Hz, which is very disappointing. Well, if it's for office use, no problem, for home use with a big and beautiful monitor? Sorry, it will be a fallback and limited to 1920x1080 resolution only. Where is the product support and forum? I had a hard time finding the official website for this product. Don't expect to find much support like drivers and a forum about it. So if something breaks and leaves the return window, you're on your own. Therefore, do not place any important applications or valuable data on it unless you have a proper data backup or recovery plan. Final thoughts on this product: It works great, yes it works great when it works and there are no hardware or driver issues. Otherwise you are on your own as it is not a big brand with a lot of support and forum. The hardware that comes with it is pretty decent, i5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, GigaLAN etc. But I'm disappointed with the monitor/display resolution it can support as I'm not really able to run at "max". to be " advertised 4K @ 30Hz. Resolution. No Thunderbolt or Display Port support. Use a proprietary barrel type DC connector for power, not USB-C. This mini PC is limited to office or light home use rather than gaming. If you consider the price, for an average of $500 you can buy a major brand laptop with more or less similar specs. Of course your use case may differ, if the use case is right for you it may cost you another star. , but I can only give it 3 stars, which in this price range is not justified by design flaws and the lack of minimal support.
