I have a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt and everyone knows there is no speaker adapter for this car. After doing a lot of research I decided to buy them anyway and see what I could do instead of modifying original GM speakers to accept aftermarket speakers. When they arrived I installed my speakers in adapters and went to put them in the door. The holes lined up perfectly, but the adapter didn't quite fit the door. All I had to do was take the Sawzall and cut out one side of the bracket (different on the right and left side) and you know they went in the door and the door panel fitted just right. The speaker stabilized the prop and it stood upright and what's the difference the way it looks you can't see anything. The only thing that was frustrating was all the plastic dust from cutting, but I was fine with that.
