Review on 🚗 Streamline your Car Audio Setup with Metra GMOS-044 44-Way Amp/Non Amp Interface by Nick Henning

Read this if you're having trouble viewing something on a monochrome screen.

Honestly, I'm half satisfied with this interface. You have to buy a second interface to keep steering wheel control and I lost audio from my steering wheel anyway (it doesn't mute my stereo) if you have USB and Aux input on your car from the factory you lose that too. This interface does not communicate with your car and stereo to give you information about your car like other interfaces do (this is only if your stereo has this option, mine is dual din and has this feature). I like the fact that I don't have to cut any wires to install this interface. I bought this unit to install a Pioneer 2 din stereo in a 2012 Chevy Cruze. I had an issue where the car's factory dashboard screen didn't show anything at all. I called Axxess support and all they said was that it was a bad module. I sent the device back and the seller sent me a second device that did the same thing as the first. All in all, I called Metra support and ended up somehow bending one of the pins on the large wiring harness that connects to the car. They are very receptive to that. Make sure all pins are straight and very slowly and carefully connect your interface. This harness runs lower than the factory connector on the factory deck. If it's not complete, almost all vehicle functions will work, so make sure all pins are straight and fully inserted.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Security
