Would have gotten 5 stars if it came in more secure packaging (see below). There are 7 open Chrome tabs in the image and nothing else. I installed this single 8GB DDR3L SODIMM 1600 in my Dell Inspiron 15 7559 laptop (I upgraded the network card and OS a long time ago m.2 SSD. I already installed 8GB DDR3L 1600 (the default memory card, with laptop was shipped to.) I now have a laptop with maximum memory.Even though both memory cards are from different manufacturers all specs are the same so no problem.'n'play like any other RAM drive I've used in the past installed.I mainly use my laptop for office suite, web browsing (lots of tabs), IT tasks and some gaming I used 60-80% of my original 8GB of RAM without doing any tasks and when I opened more than 12 browser tabs (I do a lot of research and study IT related tasks) my computer started to complain, I noticed Windows 10 RAM compression tion services were being used a lot, so the system wasn't using virtual memory, forcing me to sacrifice startup CPU and access times when virtual memory was actually being used. I was hoping this update would allow Windows to simplify compression and save me both CPU usage for other purposes and access time, guess what! It worked great. Instead of compressing from 600 to 800 MB, it only compresses from 50 to 80 MB, and the RAM usage (nothing works, only laptop startup) is down to 50%, with 8 GB available for software and multitasking instead 60-80% with available from 1 to 2 GB. for software and multitasking with about 10% (smart guess) of the CPU overhead for decompressing RAM. I can easily open 20 tabs in Google Chrome (I'd say I can open 20 browser tabs for an additional 1GB, no science, just a rough estimate, so that's around 160 tabs). I think that now I will have problems with the processor and not with the RAM! I was running Dungeons 3 on Steam and using almost 10GB of RAM leaving me with 6GB. 16GB seems like overkill, but 8GB is barely enough. My computer is much more responsive on memory intensive tasks, and other parts of the laptop are slowing me down, not the RAM, which is nice. Plastic mail bag with bubble wrap built in (I think this could be damaged by rough handling during transit, mine was not damaged). Arrived next day as expected. The price was pretty standard and no discount but with my free prime shipping it was cheaper than other sites in terms of final price. According to my observations, this is an original Samsung product. If you look at the photos of the chip, that's exactly what I received.
