Review on 💡 Efficient Energy Saving: Belkin 8-Outlet Conserve Switch Surge Protector with Remote Control, 4ft Cord – White by Roman Starr

Bought two years ago. Up until this winter, powering a Dyson AM05 Hot + Cool fan heater worked very stably. The time it lasted really seemed to shorten. 6 hours turned into 3 or less. A few weeks later I could smell burned plastic or burning wires. I immediately thought the Dyson machine was on fire. It was and showed no signs of a problem. I unplugged it and tested it with a different outlet that didn't have a Belkin plug. Dyson worked fine, no smell. That's when I noticed the Belkin connector. It must have shorted out and blown every time I activated it. See attached photos as front and back are damaged by fire. I'll send them back to Belkin and see what they say. This is obviously a cause for serious concern. UPDATE: Belkin replaced it for free on 11/2017 and we haven't had any issues with the replacement for a year.
