Review on Powerful 200W Mini Mono Subwoofer Amplifier - Fosi Audio M03: Full-Frequency and Sub Bass Switchable, Perfect for Home Theater & Single Power Subwoofer by Balakrishna Tam

Lately I've been working on designing my own subwoofer enclosures. Not for cars, but for home use in the basement, garage or living room. I have two competitor amps. One unit for 100W and one for 300W. These are the AIYIMA ones. So needing another 300w unit I decided to try the Fosi brand. Attached are photos of the unpacking. The box is externally identical to the AIYIMA units, but the inside is different enough to tell it's a different brand. The power transformer appears to be of higher quality on this unit compared to others. All dials move well, do not sag and cannot hold their position. I install the FOSI box next to the stereo I use and then run the speaker wire to the subwoofer enclosure. In my opinion it is better (with high mileage) to lay a longer speaker cable to the sub than a long subwoofer cable to the amplifier. The subwoofer I am connecting consists of two 12" subwoofers mounted in a vented Q-BOMB dual 12" subwoofer enclosure. I wired it to have an end-of-line impedance of 4 ohms at the amplifier. I've turned the amp on for 11 hours playing powerful Christian hip hop music and it barely warms up. That's a good sign. You also notice that the control for the subwoofer crossover frequency really works and adjust it to the room and your own ears. This little amp makes the garage hum and I love it.
