From the outside, this device looks very minimalist, everything is made of plastic and not much larger than the scanning area. Since my last scanner was a lot bigger, heavier and had to be replaced just because I upgraded to Win10, I doubted the quality would be that good. In fact, however, the quality is quite up to the standard of the earlier scanner and is very economical. The UI takes a little getting used to (always scan/copy/etc from the device's built-in buttons, not in the app, which is only used to customize how those button presses are handled, but actually works pretty well. And according to the ads it is amazingly fast copying (scanning straight to the printer) You're only scanning a portion of a wider document, which older narrow-edge scanners can't The OCR (scan to searchable PDF) capability provided is pretty good - not perfect, but certainly meets modern standards.
