I have a 38 gallon tank. The 36" model is a perfect fit. The light quality from this full spectrum LED aquarium light is phenomenal. This is a very economical way to upgrade your aquarium lighting. You get quality light but without potentially unnecessary features. A built in timer or a fancy remote control .You may not be able to program a simulated thunderstorm in your tank but you can get great light with a little more programming and control and save a few hundred bucks over very similar lights.The mounts slide without jamming as many people say but I do am willing to be a little more careful when opening my tank and save over $200.
