Bye.after 96 hours. first the sound. I can say that the sound is amazing (a bit "blurry") when using Windows Sonic. But it's even better to use the Dolby Atmos add-on ($15 and about 20% better audio separation). Since these are headphones, everything sounds "closer" than with my 7.1 home cinema system. Side-to-side and front-to-back sound isolation is actually very good. When I was playing Skyrim my partner was behind me whispering something to me and I was actually looking over my right shoulder to see if anyone was there lol. Footsteps are clearly audible, as is the sound of a drawn bow, more clearly than in my home theater (ie "closer" sound). The bass is excellent (can sometimes be a little too loud, no adjustment, hence 4 stars), as is the treble. I bought this because I knew I was going to switch to Dolby Atmos (which mimics 7.1 perfectly) rather than the $100 more Ultimate with native 7.1. The headphones have separate controls for chat and game volume, as well as touch mute controls for both, and they work great. Well, secondly, consolation. While the headset initially felt a little heavy on my ears compared to my wired KMDs (real POS junk as the KMD cables on the controller connector broke after 3 weeks of no load). But after 5 minutes they felt good and I almost forgot they were there. Third, connectivity and battery life. Connected to my XBox One S in 15 seconds. I love the fact that I can turn the headset on and it automatically turns on my Xbox One S. The specs say reception is up to 20ft, but line of sight was 26ft and yes I measured that. Battery life is 16 hours, but that's closer to 10-12. But it charges overnight and the charging cable is long enough to keep it plugged in while playing, so I like that. Fourth, the audio from the mic and MMO. I like the retractable microphone. No one complained about hissing or slicing when playing Destiny (1). I can retract the mic or adjust the chat volume with the earcup controls for more control over mic sensitivity. You need an Xbox One USB adapter to connect to your computer, which I don't care as I have an HHD with all my music and movies connected to my Xbox One S. Overall, I highly recommend this headset. For me, the price is $100 less than the Ultimate, and I feel like I'm getting closer to the same sound with Dolby Atmos. And wireless over wired, if you have to spend an extra coin there's no comparison to being able to roam freely compared to the limitations of a wired headset's darn cords. FYI I'm a 65 year old avid gamer (since Atari) and don't give a good review for the sake of a good review. Hello everyone and I hope you all enjoy the game!
