I used this to clean some real wood shutters and cabinets that had built up some "dirt" from years of kids and pets. The downside is your house will smell like you are planning an arson fire. For some time. On a positive note, this product actually removes things like limescale (from my kitchen water heater that runs 24/7 leaving white deposits that NO product has ever been able to touch)! I opened windows etc before using it but a couple of kids said they got dizzy while using it. They are teenagers now so they could tell me that this feeling went away after I stopped actively cleaning with him and took off the clothes I was using, but even after we walked for a few hours the strong smell was noticeable , when we have done it has come back. It's probably not something I would ever consider as part of my regular cleaning schedule, but I'll keep a bottle on hand to quickly address issues that less caustic products can't handle. For me it's worth the small inconveniences. If you are sensitive to smells then you may not agree to this.
