This is an absolutely AMAZING moka pot. If you're not sure if you should buy this, buy it. I'm going to tell you why this is an amazing product and the steps to keep it that way. I wanted to give it some time before writing a review as I've seen others say their moka pot either rusted or something else happened. I've had this for 3 weeks now and haven't had any problems whatsoever. The most important part of using this moka pot is thorough cleaning. I would suggest that the buyers who reported their cars were rusty didn't take proper care of them. When finished, rinse the mocha pot with warm water and dry each piece completely with a paper towel/towel. I make coffee every day with this wonderful product and it never fails to disappoint me. The peculiarity of mocha pots is that the product itself almost always works perfectly, and problems are almost always caused by the owner's own mistakes. With proper use and care, this coffee pot will brew delicious coffee every time. Here are the steps: Step 1: Once you receive the coffee pot, open the manual and quickly read the simple instructions. There might be a few things you didn't know about, so it's important to just check them out. Step 2: Fill the basket with coffee grounds. You can use a scale or simply fill and level the coffee basket to the brim. I'm pretty sure the baskets are designed to be full. DO NOT compact the soil. This is done so that the water can flow freely through the floor. All you have to do is tap on the sides of the basket to level the floor. (I no longer tap the basket or sides because I found the water still had a hard time getting through that way) Step 3: Boil some water first. Many people say it's important to use hot water so the coffee grounds don't come into contact with the heat for too long, which prevents the grounds from burning and causing a bad taste. Step 3: Turn on the stove on medium heat. If the temperature is too high, the extraction will be too fast. Wednesday is perfect. Step 4: Pour pre-boiled water into the lower chamber. Fill just below the steam valve. If you add too much water and the water blocks the steam valve, pressure can build up and your Moka could explode. So this is a very important step. Step 5: Lower the basket into the lower chamber. Step 6: Unscrew the lid of the mocha pot completely. Use a towel to grab the base so you don't burn yourself. Step 7: Place the moka pot on the stove and watch the magic happen. You will see the coffee begin to fill the top chamber and as soon as you hear it begin to sizzle remove it and run the base under cold water to stop the brewing process. That's all! You have just made delicious coffee in a moka pot. Because moka pots are highly dependent on how you use them, there are many ways to customize the process and create your own brewing technique. The steps I gave you are just the basics. OK, so fast. When cleaning the pot, be sure to dry it THOROUGHLY. Divide all three parts of the mocha pot. Lift each piece with warm water. The bottom and basket are the easiest to clean, as one holds just water and the other just a small basket. The top is still very easy to clean, but because that's where the coffee is, it takes about a second longer to clean. Just make sure you wash all of your coffee so your next brew is as fresh as possible. Now when you dry off, just take a paper towel and wipe away all the water. Make sure it's completely dry so there's no problem. When you're done, just assemble it as usual and don't screw the top too tight. Leave it attached but keep it loose. This is necessary in order not to wear out the rubber seal. There is so much information online that will teach you how to use it even better, but I hope this helps too!
